Hello, my name is Rawan, and I am studying a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at UNB. I believe that prioritizing mental health is just as important as physical health, and that kindness and understanding can make a lasting difference in people’s lives. Outside of school, I enjoy running, swimming, cooking healthy meals, cross-stitching, and practicing mindfulness. I’m grateful to be part of the Youth Council, where I strive to promote awareness and reduce stigma around mental health.

Currently working with newcomer youth I dream of establishing my own non-profit organization that aims to provide mental health support, recreational and life skills services to children and youth. NBYC gives me a chance to connect with the community that shares the same goals and values as me, and little by little spread awareness and implement changes on youth mental health.
I am passionate about reading and learning ways of how I can as an individual help change our current political and social systems.

I am a third-year student passionate about social justice, criminology, and making a positive impact in my community. In my free time, I enjoy reading, creative projects, and staying active. In my opinion, young people can bring fresh perspectives and strong voices to important conversations, and we can use our lived experiences to advocate for fairness, inclusion, and meaningful changes in society. And that is why I joined the NB Youth Council because I believe in using my voice and lived experiences to help and create meaningful changes and support others in building a better and more inclusive society.

Hi there! I’m Tamás! I love acting (I have been in theater since grade 1), hiking, and travelling, and I hope to use my previous experiences to help progress in the province, the country, and the world.

I am a first-year Bachelor of Science student at Mount Allison University, planning to major in Biology and pursue a career in medicine.

My name is Wiktoria Cegielska, I am originally from Poland and I am currently working in the settlement sector — I try my best to guide others through the same challenges I once faced as a newcomer and give back to the community that welcomed me so warmly. Everyday I learn more about intersectionality, resilience, loss, hope and kindness, the beautiful spectrum of human existence that has always fascinated me. My dream is to become a therapist one day and to grow my activism and advocacy, which is why I am grateful to be a part of the NBYC, as it helps me to move closer towards those goals. In my free time I love to sketch, paint, sew, sculpt, write, read and explore the world.
